Our client is seeking to engage a Property & Building Report Coordinator on a contract until 16/02/2024.


Purpose of the role:


This role coordinates functions focussed on assessing and reporting on planned and reactive maintenance and functionality of Department owned buildings.

The role also involves liaising with building owners, building occupants and also trade contractors to determine the current condition of buildings and advise on current or future maintenance or upgrade requirements.

The role requires good organisational skills and the ability to monitor and manage multiple activities.


What you will do:

Under general direction, undertake work required for the delivering the team's responsibilities and tasks which may include:

  • Coordinate the delivery of planned inspections and maintenance and/or property reporting programs, within budgetary constraints, on behalf of Department's customers, including: developing maintenance programs in accordance with manufacturer's specification and Australian Standards; ensuring programs are delivered efficiently and effectively; reviewing service reports and reactive maintenance for performance patterns and advising customers; commissioning technical building and property reports including asbestos and building condition; and assisting with developing and implementing new systems for managing workloads.
  • Work with teams to deliver property maintenance and assessment programs, ensuring customer needs are prioritised and ensuring that good quality outcomes are achieved.
  • Provide technical advice and expertise on building industry construction and maintenance to staff, customers and contractors.
  • Ensure compliant and best practice procurement and contract management of contracted maintenance and building assessment work and contracted project based work.
  • Develop and provide to customers information, including budgets and invoices, reports of other communications to ensure accountable service provision and meeting of customer needs in the management of properties.
  • Utilise computer programs including Microsoft Office suite, asset management programs, databases and property management programs to deliver high quality outcomes.
  • Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the section and organisation.
  • This position may involve supervision of staff.

In addition, applicants must:


  • Hold or have the capacity to obtain White Card and Asbestos Awareness;
  • Hold or have the capacity to obtain Work Health and Safety qualifications (Certificate IV);
  • Hold a current driver's licence (car).
