Job Description Summary:

Working as a Communications Leader for GE HealthCare in Australia & New Zealand means being a vital part of the business leadership team and the corporate communications team for ASEAN, Korea, and ANZ (AKA).

This role focuses on enhancing and safeguarding GE HealthCare's brand and reputation as a top healthcare innovator and technology company, nurturing the employee brand, structuring messages for internal and external audiences, and managing speaking engagements effectively.

Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
  • Collaborating with the GE HealthCare ANZ leadership team to develop communication strategies aligned with key business priorities that drive impact internally and externally.
  • Creating external communication plans in coordination with the Senior Comms Leader for AKA to enhance GE HealthCare's brand positioning across various stakeholder groups.
  • Safeguarding GE HealthCare's image and reputation across all communication channels.
  • Developing an earned media strategy targeting trade publications and top-tier media outlets.
  • Designing and implementing thought leadership strategies for key executive team members, including social media and speaking engagements.
  • Partnering with HR to foster internal engagement among employees by effectively communicating the organization's goals and progress.
  • Acting as a crisis communications contact point for specific business issues, potentially spanning across GE HealthCare.
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to enhance communication plans and strategies.
  • Utilizing data to refine strategies, providing regular progress reports.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field with a minimum of 5 years' experience in corporate communications, PR, journalism, or marketing.
  • Proven ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders effectively in a regulated and technical environment.
  • Demonstrated success in driving employee engagement and managing change within an organization.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a talent for simplifying complex issues and adapting to different perspectives.
  • Sound commercial understanding and business acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork capabilities.
  • Interest in current affairs, politics, and public opinion, with the ability to align these with business strategies.
  • Proficiency in working within a complex business matrix, meeting the demands of both P&L and Corporate Marketing and Communications.
  • Strong prioritization skills to handle multiple projects efficiently.
  • Integrity and ethical decision-making in all interactions and communications.
  • Experience in Communications & Communications Business Partnering.
