What You Will Be Doing


The Critical Care Liaison Nurse (CCLN) provides advanced patient care and has completed additional post graduate training in critical care.

The CCLN acts as a positive role model and a clinical expert who is a resource for ward nursing, medical and allied health staff involved in the management of patients with complex care needs.

The CCLN provides coverage 365 days per year. The CCLN will work collaboratively with each other to ensure consistency in practice.
The CCLN team support staff and patients in many ways.

  • They assist in the case management of patients transferred to the general wards from ICU and liaise with nursing, medical and allied health staff regarding the specific care requirements of these patients.
  • The patients may be reviewed and followed up during the process of a Rapid Response Call (RRC).
  • They also accept targeted referrals from a variety sources including medical and surgical staff, nursing staff and allied health.

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
  • Post Graduate Critical Care Qualification in Intensive Care or Critical Care
  • Recent post graduate experience in a critical care area
  • ICU, ED, CCU

Additional Requirements
This role must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and meet the requirements of the Peninsula Health immunisation policy.

  • Please refer to salary circular for NURSES AND MIDWIVES (VICTORIAN PUBLIC SECTOR) (SINGLE INTEREST EMPLOYERS) ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT for salary range. Subgrading will be based on years of experience.
