Grocery services include the provision of warehousing services and an integrated transport strategy interstate and intrastate for large supermarkets and retailers with a diverse product range.

The role

  • We are looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor & a Transport Supervisor to join our Global Logistics division based in Minchinbury.
  • As the Operations Supervisor you will be responsible for the allocations and despatch of grocery loads, regularly communicating with drivers and stakeholders, compliance and managing staff via rostering and budgeting and ensuring business objectives are achieved in a safe and costeffective way. Hours of work are standard business hours Monday
  • Friday.
  • Reporting into the Operations Supervisor, the Transport Supervisor will be supporting grocery delivery throughout the Sydney basin and will be responsible for managing customer relations by ensuring Toll drivers and operations staff are exceeding standards and KPI's. Hours of work, 4 days on, 4 days off on a 12 hour shift. This is a PM shift role (4pm to 4am).
  • Duties of both roles include:
  • Plan and manage labour to meet the day to day service level targets, and exceed customer expectations.
  • Coordinate the dispatch of trucks, drivers, and shipments to ensure ontime deliveries and pickups.
  • Champion safety and ensure all drivers and operational staff follow OHS and site safety requirements.
  • Promote a customer first mindset and ensure the daily operation is maximising profitability by linking management goals with practical means of achievement.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams. Address any issues or delays promptly to minimise disruptions.
  • Ensure services are monitored for ontime delivery, and proactively collaborate with the customer to meet targeted delivery windows.
  • About you
  • Previous experience within a similar leadership role
  • Transport/Logistics.
  • Demonstrated experience with Operations, CoR, Fatigue Management.
  • An analytical mindset critical thinking and logical reasoning.
  • Exceptional communication skills written and verbal.

Office Suite:
Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines within a timepressured environment.
