Symmetric Care, a leading provider of disability support services in Victoria, is seeking a full-time, experienced NDIS Payroll Officer to join the team in Port Melbourne.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about providing excellent service and accuracy in payroll administration.


Responsibilities:


  • Managing endtoend fortnightly payroll using Xero, including award interpretation, single touch payroll, and end of month reconciliation and reporting
  • Maintaining accurate records of employee information, including hours worked, leave taken, and super fund payments
  • Responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits and providing hightouch customer service
  • Supporting the finance team with monthend and yearend processes, including reporting, superannuation, and payroll tax
  • Establishing new employees in the payroll system and managing offboarding protocols
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement in payroll processes

Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Payroll Administration
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Highly regarded and desirable:

  • Experience in payroll administration, ideally in the NDIS sector
  • Proficiency in Xero payroll software
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulations, including the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of the NDIS Price Guide and the SCHADS award
