About the Position


We are currently seeking to establish a pool of qualified casual Pool Lifeguards to provide a high standard of care and ensure the safety of users of the Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre.

Applicants may also be considered for Pool Lifeguard roles across Stirling Leisure Centres, including Leisurepark Balga and Scarborough Beach Pool.


You will also be required to assist with pool operations such as water testing, chemical control and plant operation as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the facility.


Key Responsibilities
The duties of the Pool Lifeguard will include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure all water bodies and associated areas are appropriately supervised.
  • Prevent incidents where possible and respond to incidents through use of rescue, first aid and resuscitation as and when required.
  • Consistently presenting a professional presence and deliver a high standard of service to customers.

About You

  • Current Pool Lifeguard License
  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011 or higher)
  • Knowledge of pool supervision requirements, water safety, first aid, resuscitation, rescue techniques and public safety requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work within a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work shifts including weekends, afternoons and public holidays.

This casual position is a Level 2 Inside Workforce Agreement position which attract an hourly rate from $30.55 an hour plus 25% casual loading.

An additional 15% shift allowance may be applicable in accordance with the relevant Workforce Agreement.


To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide, or have ability obtain a:

  • A copy of Australian driving licence.
  • National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months).
  • Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance.
  • The right to work in Australia.
