Primary Purpose:
- Support Manager partnerships Team in the development of mechanisms to support consistency, effectiveness, and quality of SA CFS community engagement/risk reduction and resilience programs, including volunteer driven and delivered programs.
- Development, coordination of presentations, training, mentoring, and coaching for staff and volunteers in SA CFS on effective community engagement and risk reduction strategies.
- Contribute to the development of monitoring, evaluation and reporting frameworks for SA CFS community engagement/risk reduction and resilience Programs.
- Lead the development of SA CFS' specialised community engagement/risk reduction and resilience programs, with a focus on atrisk, CALD, ATSI communities, businesses, industry and child and youth.
- Research and provide advice on strategy, and effective approaches to engagement with behavioural impact.
- Represent SA CFS at Regional and State committees and groups relevant to the position's specialisation, including delivering presentations and education programs.
- Support the coordination of engagement events delivered and/or attended by the team (e.g. MFS Open Day, Bushfire Resilience Day).
- Establish and maintain CFS partnerships, and with external stakeholders to support Risk Reduction and Resilience in communities and the as a state.
- Undertake a CFS operational role in the State Command Centre, on an oncall roster throughout the annual Fire Danger Season.
Essential Qualifications:
***Tertiary qualification in Sociology, Community Development, Social Psychology, Education or related field.
