Primary Purpose:


  • Support Manager partnerships Team in the development of mechanisms to support consistency, effectiveness, and quality of SA CFS community engagement/risk reduction and resilience programs, including volunteer driven and delivered programs.
  • Development, coordination of presentations, training, mentoring, and coaching for staff and volunteers in SA CFS on effective community engagement and risk reduction strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of monitoring, evaluation and reporting frameworks for SA CFS community engagement/risk reduction and resilience Programs.
  • Lead the development of SA CFS' specialised community engagement/risk reduction and resilience programs, with a focus on atrisk, CALD, ATSI communities, businesses, industry and child and youth.
  • Research and provide advice on strategy, and effective approaches to engagement with behavioural impact.
  • Represent SA CFS at Regional and State committees and groups relevant to the position's specialisation, including delivering presentations and education programs.
  • Support the coordination of engagement events delivered and/or attended by the team (e.g. MFS Open Day, Bushfire Resilience Day).
  • Establish and maintain CFS partnerships, and with external stakeholders to support Risk Reduction and Resilience in communities and the as a state.
  • Undertake a CFS operational role in the State Command Centre, on an oncall roster throughout the annual Fire Danger Season.

Essential Qualifications:

***Tertiary qualification in Sociology, Community Development, Social Psychology, Education or related field.


Remuneration:

ASO6
$97,022 - $102,626
