The Company
Our market leading client require the skills of an experienced Livestock Buyer to drive their inhouse operation.

The ideal person will come with a depth of knowledge and experience in buying livestock and have the ability to drive this function autonomously for our client.

The role:

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Map and develop the businesses national footprint, farmers, locations, pricing structure and relationships with the companies suppliers/farmers.
Manage and negotiate long term contracts.
Identify short term market opportunities.
Develop and take full ownership of the businesses livestock strategy.
Work closely with the business wider planning and S&OP team to ensure capacity and supply align.
Procure cuts for businesses value add model strategy.

Your background:

Previous experience in livestock procurement is essential.
Strong relationship management skills.
Present the ability to negotiate and form long lasting relationships.
Have a great ability to plan, develop and execute a strategic sourcing plan for livestock suppliers nationally.
Open to domestic travel
Have the ability to understand key metrics and root cause analysis of livestock suppliers.
