Description:

Responsibilities:

Assist in identifying, implementing and managing cultural, inclusion and diversity strategies as well as any other programs as required across the business.
Assist with implementing and supporting buddy programs.
Interface culture with client interactions at various sites, government premises and partner bodies/communities.
Participate in cultural activities such as Naidoc, Nameless Festival and any other cultural, inclusion and diversity activities.
Act as a Mentor and escalate cultural issues involving relevant stakeholders in decision making.
Establish and foster positive and constructive relationships with Mentees.
Review Cultural behaviour training, goals and objectives with Mentee.
Serve as a role model, teacher, advisor and advocate.

Skills and Experiences:

About you:

Certificate IV in Leadership and Mentoring or equivalent
Passionate about supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, organisations, histories, and the strengths and issues facing Indigenous people in Australia meeting their aspirations
High level interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work and engage with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities and staff
Ability to coach, inspire, encourage and motivate others
Ability to take direction and provide regular data entry, reporting and feedback as required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal
Welldeveloped computer skills
