We are currently expending our activities overseas and particularly for our Clients in Australia.


Role


This is a full-time hybrid role located in Melbourne, VIC, with flexibility for some remote work, for an Engineering Manager at our Client's facilities.

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading our technical teams, managing projects, budgeting and integrating systems.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the engineering aspects of the program, ensuring that all milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including external subcontractors, Program Managers, Production, Quality, and Customers, to define technical requirements, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies Accurate Master Data entry in SAP.
  • Manage the engineering documentation process, ensuring all technical documents, including drawings, specifications, and reports, are accurate and up to date.
  • Monitor project timelines and milestones, identifying any deviations and implementing corrective actions to keep the project on track.
  • Interrogating CAD Files and Customer supplied technical data to provide comprehensive work instructions for the manufacture of the Customer deliverable component or assembly.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the technical aspects related to the project. Provide engineering insights and solutions to challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and address any issues that may affect the project timeline, budget, or quality.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, progress reports, and change orders.
  • Complete any tasks assigned by the Head of Engineering in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Other duties when required.

  • Ability to analyse complex problems, develop innovative solutions, and make decisions that align with project goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Thoroughness in project planning, execution, and documentation to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Aerospace and Defence experience advantageous
  • Strong technical proficiency in relevant engineering disciplines, software tools, and project management methodologies.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, unexpected challenges, and evolving priorities.
  • Completed master degree or higher education.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • Six Sigma Green Belt experience desirable
  • Project management certification or relevant training would be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Familiarity with aerospace standards, regulations, and certification processes.

Salary

  • As a guide, $200k to $250k + Super.
  • Base salary will reflect skill and experience.
