We have an exciting new opportunity for an Engineering Officer within the Joint Battlespace Systems product line on the Woomera Test Range Support Services (WTRSS) Program.

The Woomera Test Range, located in South Australia, is the world's largest overland test environment, comparable to the size of England, and is one of Australia's most critical national security assets.

Raytheon Australia's integrated range solution provides the Australian Defence Force with one of the most advanced test, experiment, and training environments in the world.

Working within the engineering team you will contribute to the success of the WTRSS Program through providing specialty engineering functions on a variety of leading-edge equipment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Application of the Systems Engineering lifecycle to deliver a Long-Range Telemetry and Flight Termination capability to the Woomera Test Range and Royal Australian Air Force.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements that govern the program requirements.
  • Monitoring the progression of all engineering tasks for delivery to closure, ensuring all technical data is actioned to the satisfaction of the customer within the agreed timeframes.
  • Provide routine guidance and mentoring to the engineering team members ensuring current and future team resource requirements are met.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Diploma in Engineering (or equivalent) with a minimum of 9 years relevant postqualification experience required.
  • Demonstrable Design and/or Development experience in one or more of the following fields: Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Communication Systems and RF.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills essential.
  • Previous exposure to Defence Systems Engineering processes and tools desirable (e.g. DOORS).
  • Experience in a Defence related industry is highly desirable.
