Career Growth Opportunity in Safety

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Safety Administrator with experience across civil, mining or renewable projects.

Our client is a multidisciplinary family-owned civil contractor with their own plant hire fleet, providing comprehensive civil and earthworks services nationally.

This National Civil Contractor are seeking a Safety Administrator with a minimum of 2 years' safety experience, or similar within civil construction.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for career growth within Safety and confident to become the sole safety administrative support for the business.

This individual will be based in their Eight Mile Plains office and occasionally travel to local projects, once every few months.

Reporting to the Project Manager, responsibilities will include, but not limited to include:

Manage all site and HSE documents, data and systems in all formats
Collate data for reporting
Assisting with site inductions, training and auditing
Assist with incident, safety inspections and prestart meetings and any other safety communications
Complete and manage subcontractor and plant onboarding, compliance and approval for new plant / machinery
Ensure safety standards are kept to an ultimate high and are followed by site staff and subcontractors

Previous experience in a similar role within civil/ heavy construction is a required with the ability to understand Australian safety legislation.

Must hold a Certificate IV Workplace Health or similar, or willing to obtain one. The successful applicant will be confident in motivating and actively promoting a safe working culture.

This individual will be organised, with a high attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across the projects.
