Overview:

Performs a range of transactional accounting duties and manages the accounts receivable function.

Contributes towards the effective financial management and reporting of the Asia Pacific business.


Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:


  • Essential functions may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics.   • Responsible for accurate and timely Bookkeeping and Financial Closing and Reporting
  • Maintain the completion of duties and activities that contribute towards the provision of accurate and effective financial services to various departments, functions and managers
  • Assists with the management of Inventory and reports in compliance with Dover and NPS Guidelines as well as Australian Accounting Standards, Federal & State legislation governing financial, taxation and company regulations.
  • Completes a range of administrative duties that contribute toward the overall running of offices and facilities in various locations.
  • Payroll support, including liaising with HR and ADP
  • Processes journals to the General Ledger as required.
  • Performs the daily bank reconciliation.
  • Manages the Corporate card process ensuring all monthly reports are approved and processed in Oracle according to monthly deadlines.
  • Performs month end close routines for Accounts Payable, Inventory & Purchasing modules.
  • Performs month end reporting including, but not limited to, cost centre reporting, prepayment, profit in inventory, bad debt and freight accounting.
  • Monthly Foreign Currency Balance mreporting.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, including Cadency reporting.
  • Assists in the preparation of BAS, FBT and Payroll Tax returns.
  • Provides supporting documentation for audits.
  • Provides back up to the Accounts Officer.
  • Provides support and assistance to the finance team.
  • Drives and contributes to the department continuous improvement culture; contributes towards company's quality related objectives.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all matters.
  • Other duties as required.

Education, Licensing, and Certifications:


  • Required_
Vocational Qualification in Accounting or Bookkeeping or equivalent education and/or experience


Experience:


  • Required_
Two or more years of relevant experience.


Competencies, Skills, and Knowledge:


  • Required_
  • Basic oral and written communication skills, including the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Good math and analytical skills.
  • Basic organizational and time management skills.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of Oracle finance system capabilities.
