Transport Services is a group within the Department of Transport and Planning that operates to deliver transport services across all modes that provides a single user interface to the transport network.


About the Role


The Manager, Timetable Assurance is responsible for reviewing network Service Specifications for Performance & Contract Management Division and oversee Multi modal timetable development alignment of timetables, the meeting of coordination specification requirements, and delivery to schedule to support service changes.

The manager will lead a team of analysts to coordinate service changes, support operational readiness and facilitate engagement with operators and other stakeholders on proposed service changes for input to final service specifications to facilitate well informed and quality service changes.


Position Outcomes (day to day operations)

  • Management and leadership of the Timetable Assurance team to ensure day to day guidance and direction is provided and that opportunities for development and training are identified and provided.
  • Oversee Multi modal timetable development alignment of timetables, the meeting of coordination specification requirements, and delivery to schedule to support multi modal changes
  • Monitor timetable development against budget allocation, inform proposed timetable exceptions to specification, brief line Manager on any issues and inform decisions on final design to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Continuous review and reporting of multi modal timetable development against programs to ensure alignment
  • Coordination of timetable development and reviews against specification and alignment with rail timetables for all bus network and timetable changes
  • Coordinate issues log and resolution process on timetable change issues to allow coordinated and controlled recording and response to change issues
  • Coordinate network audits to validate rollout of network change information to inform issues log, speedy rectification of issues, and quality and accurate information on the network.

Qualifications and Experience

Desirable

  • A tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in Transport Planning, Project Management or a related field.
