Program Coordinator

Contract, Full/Part Time (negotiable)

An exciting opportunity exists to join the GippSport team as Program Coordinator - Safer Communities project in our Traralgon office.

Working alongside the Community Programs Manager, the Program Co-ordinator will be responsible for designing, implementing and coordinating the Gen-G project, using sport, recreation and arts as a vehicle to drive social change within Gippsland.

The project will directly impact our organisation's ability to advocate for funding to support ongoing investment for targeted programs in Gippsland.

GippSport operates in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment which requires flexibility, adaptability, initiative as well as excellent organisation and problem-solving skills.

Duties will include:

• Work collaboratively with GippSport's placebased coordinators to plan, guide and evaluate the program and activities that form the project workplan.
• Support the development and implementation of a range of engagement processes to identify local themes and build capacity of the people within each program.
• Provide required information to the Executive Officer for reports necessary to funders according to established timelines.
• Liaise with Community Organisation & Local Government partners about programming opportunities and general enquiries
• Work in collaboration with the Communications Officer to create and distribute promotional materials, posters, media advertisements, press and media releases.
