CSSD Instrument Technician

24 hour / 7 days per week rotating roster
Part time and full time positions available
Rotate through all areas of the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD)
RMH are seeks an experienced Instrument technician who has completed Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation, to work a busy trauma hospital. Our department is 24hours, 7 days per week rotating roster, and also processes for other hospitals including Peter Mac, and other

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our CSSD team, in both part time and full time positions.

Your Opportunity:

Collect, clean and decontaminate reusable and semicritical medical equipment used by the operating suite and clinical units, on a daily basis.
Load and unload ultrasonic instrument washers, dryers and sterilisers according to instructions.
Work cooperatively within the team to ensure the needs of our patients and their families and carers are met in accordance with the The Royal Melbourne Hospital values

About You:

Hold Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation
Minimum of 3 months experience as an Instrument Technician
Posses a sound knowledge of AS 4187. Ensuring that clinical practice is evidence based and responsive to stakeholder requirements
