What You Will Achieve


The Customer Supply Chain (CSC) Lead provides leadership in Market to the GSC organisation (Demand Planning, Deployment Planning, New Product Launch, Inventory Management and S&OP) with full accountability for the successful continuity of supply in support of revenue and service targets as well as company reputation.

This position defines and continually updates strategies and plans to improve market performance for core activities in line with business and GSC objectives as well as through collecting and understanding voice of customer.

This role actively engages in the local Market as representative of PGS and as senior leader in the Market functional leadership team in support of organisational health as measured through patient care, financial health, and company reputation.

The CSC Lead builds and maintains a strong report with BU and functional leaders and uses their PGS network to provide support as requested and/or identified.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Lead and continuously improve the Demand Planning process for all locally distributed finished products coordinating crossfunctional activities.
  • Lead an effective and valued Sales & Operations Planning cycle (PCM, Demand Review, Supply Review, FORGE) culminating in an exception driven executive review that is forward looking and decision oriented in support of achieving business plans and safe guarding company reputation.
  • Optimize continuity of supply through effective and timely communication of demand and other influencing factors. Maintain a sound and mutually beneficial line of communication with AMP and RSL colleagues embracing collaboration and a resultsoriented focus.
  • Lead and optimize the GSC Market Organisation, skills and processes to meet or exceed PCM (NPL, Tech Transfer, PNS) related project objectives. Ensure flawless execution through xfunctional collaboration through deployment of project management.
  • Collaborate with PLP, MPH, Regulatory, CF, and Commercial teams for the planning, project management and coordination of product source changes, new product launches, inline product extensions, loss of exclusivity, artwork changes and registration timelines.
  • Accountable to minimize inventory writeoffs. Monitor and manage inventory shelflife/expiry dates, and actively improve processes to avoid obsolescence writeoffs.
  • Ensure in market inventory is actively managed and expired or short dated stock is appropriately, securely, compliantly and expeditiously disposed of on a physical and financial level.
  • Accountable for development and achievement of operating budgets. Identification and implementation of cost improvement projects (CIPs), continuous improvement projects (with financial reward) related to GSC operations while maintaining efficiency and performance levels.
  • Accountable for delivering project objectives for product lifecycle activities and business development (new launches, mergers and acquisitions, line extensions, generic launches, label changes, discontinuations, loss of exclusivity, etc.).
  • Ensure consistent compliance with required regulations, policies and procedures, and Pfizer standards. This includes all applicable local, US, regional or international laws, e.g. SOX, FCPA, Quality, EH&S, Dangerous Goods, Trade & Customs.
  • Accountable for development and leadership of an engaged team of colleagues performing in an appropriate work environment geared to enable success in meeting job demands.
  • Use Operational Excellence mindset, tools and concepts to advance capabilities and improve costs in line with objectives and in partnership with LSP, Forwarder/Broker and internal business / process partners.
Must Have

  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics Management, or Operations Management or equivalent experience.
  • Incumbent must be fluent in both written and verbally in English.
  • Excellent supply chain management skills including: forecasting, supply planning, inventory management, logistics, international trade (import, export, customs), compliance and customer service management.
  • Problem solving in a complex matrix environment.
  • Innovation has to ability to conceptionalise and generate innovative solutions to challenges.
  • Managing & measuring work is capable of ensuring that the team delivers against business objectives whilst maintaining a positive and collaborative action oriented operating environment.
  • 7+ years experience in Supply, Demand and Logistics operations working in a Pharmaceutical or FMCG environment.
