Your New Role:


12 Month Fixed Term Contract - The QA Lead should possess a deep understanding of QA principles and is responsible for developing QA strategies and plans and carrying out all major phases of testing, including designing and implementing the test automation strategy.

He/she is responsible for managing the definition and implementation of quality principles and processes into the design, development and delivery of software and ensures that systems are in compliance with established quality standards and meet customer requirements.

The QA Lead defines and tracks quality assurance metrics and delivers reporting on the quality of systems. He/she will own all aspects of QA for that particular business stream.


Your New Role Looks Like This:

  • Delivers QA solutions that are comprehensive, taking into account risk and business priority, ensuring that systems are delivered fit-for-purpose.
  • Building test automation solutions that are designed for longterm business value (so maintainability, reliability and scalability are key).
  • Act in accordance with and be an advocate of the Australian Unity values and way of being.
  • Role model our way of being in all interactions and decisions.
  • Implement test plans, test cases, processes and standards.
  • Technical design of test automation framework, functional coverage, and integrating that into a CI/CD pipeline.
  • You will be the key person leading the Automation Strategy as well as mentoring team of testers.

About You:

Proficient at delivering holistic and long-term quality assurance solutions.

Adept at test planning, execution, reporting, and coordinating test activities for complex projects that entail difficult timelines, requirements, dependencies and high levels of business-risk.

Adept at evangelizing for quality to be built in from the beginning and owned by the entire team.

  • At least 8 years of commercial experience in software quality assurance, with minimum 3 years as a Lead/Senior QA analyst, and 3 years as a QA automation engineer.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring a team of testers.
  • A deep understanding of test automation strategy.
  • Strong experience with Microservices architecture, API testing, CI/CD pipelines
  • Working knowledge of SDLC, Test Development Lifecycle and Agile Development
  • Expertise in Zephyr or other similar testing tools
  • Experience using Jira & Confluence
  • Testing experience in Automation Tool like Selenium, Cypress and similar tools.
  • Experience with writing the test automation framework from scratch.
  • Experience with at least one scripting or programming language C#, Java, Java Script or Similar language
  • Experience in API testing an API testing tool using SOAPUI, ReadyAPI, Postman or other similar tools.
  • Full understanding of Agile test methodologies and a proven track record of producing high quality test material from a variety of requirement mediums
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a passion for working in highly collaborative environment
