1 x Ongoing, full-time role

  • 1 x 12 month fixed term role (Maternity leave coverage)
  • Werribee based
  • Band 5 salary of $78,200.20 plus super and a fortnightly RDO

A bit about the role


Our Town Planners are key members in the Town Planning unit, integral in maintaining efficient and prompt customer service from the Established Area team within a bright and modern workspace, amazing team culture.


What you'll deliver

  • Exceptional customer service focus
  • Excellent relationship management with internal and external stakeholders
  • The implementation and administration of the statutory planning responsibilities pursuant to the Wyndham Planning Scheme (and its successors), the Planning and Environment Act, Subdivision Act and other relevant legislation
  • Assist in the initiation and implementation of reviews of statutory planning procedures which maximise the efficiency of the Unit
  • Effective research skills

What you'll bring

  • Demonstrated understanding of planning legislation, planning reforms processes within Victoria and the planning process within the political framework
  • A tertiary qualification in Town Planning
  • Experience or demonstrated understanding of Local Government, State Government and Organisation processes, roles and responsibilities (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with relevant computer technology
  • Current Driver's licence
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
