Multi Solutions is recognized as the leading supplier of maintenance services and products to offshore / onshore, and maritime industry.

Responsibilities of the Fitter and Turner include but not limited to:

  • Read and understand basic layout and assembly drawings, to class society rules / standards.
  • Good understanding of shipbuilding/ship repair practices. Understands Works specifications, equipment manuals and installation guides.
  • Forming metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metal.
  • Must have experience of working with engines, propulsion systems, pump systems, deck machinery, hydraulics systems.
  • To be able to set up carry out alignment and dimensional control checks.
  • Identify and report any additional or variation to specification scopes of work to line management.
  • Oversee maintenance schedules and perform system maintenance accordingly.
  • Replacing damaged or defective structural components as needed.


In addition to the responsibilities listed above, all employees must be flexible in their approach and undertake other duties, wherever they may be, to achieve the objectives of the Company.


Must Have:


  • Relevant mechanical trade qualifications (preferred)
  • A strong commitment to safety
  • 3+ years' experience within a similar role working on equipment within the marine sector / shipyard industry.
  • Reasonable literacy and computer skills.
  • Current Drivers License with own transport


  • National Police Clearance

  • Within last year
  • Able to obtain MSIC card.
  • Able to pass a DAS (including random testing)
  • Contactable references
  • Rigging Certificate beneficial.

Position:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary offered:
$60k - $80k based on experience.

The position has a competitive hourly rate depending on experience + super + penalties for overtime and travel.


Salary:
$60, $80,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
