Our Observability team are responsible for the build and maintenance of enterprise scale Observability tooling, working with our platform and software engineering teams to embed telemetry to enable integration with our tooling.

We've been tasked with 'establishing group-wide total observability with real time telemetry' to enable 'best-in-class security, resiliency and reliability' to support the Groups' 3 years tech strategy.

You'll lead a squad of Engineers, work with our Crew Tech leads and Product Owners to build and maintain a product backlog.

We're interested in hearing from people who

Come from a sound coding and CI/CD automation background (deployment testing to release)
Offer skills in Cloud deployment (AWS or Azure), whilst still knowledgeable around onprem
Pride themselves on mentoring and developing their team, providing sound input and decision guidance, offering design and technical support to engineers
Are passionate about architecture / design and implementing large scale, high volume software solutions

Skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;

Splunk, AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry
Coding languages such as Python, or similar
Cloud (AWS, Azure, Linux)
Red Hat / Windows
