C4I Solutions is actively seeking the services of a ICT Security Operations Contractor (IRAP Assessor) to assist the Australian Geospatial-Intelligence Organisation (AGO).

This role offers an initial 12-month opportunity, with 2 x 12-month extension options


Commencement date: 21st August 2023

About the role:


  • AGO-GDC requires a security professional to assist and support the ongoing audit and certification of its Official: Sensitive, PROTECTED and SECRET systems. The role will include maintaining separation from the development of the systems and working closely with CIOG certification authority.

AGO-GDC have a requirement for the following technical expertise to deliver against the capability goals and deliverables:1 x ICT Security Contractor (IRAP Assessor) (SFIA Skill Information Security (SCTY) Level 5).


Role Requirements:


  • Assessment of the ICT security documentation against the ISM compliance requirement
Gap Analysis and Compliance Analysis against the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM)
Architecture and security model assessment
Information System Reviews
Threat and Risk Assessments

Provide advice and guidance on security strategies to manage identified risks and ensure adoption and adherence to standards within the context of the AGO and partner agency requirements.

Obtain and act on vulnerability information and conducts security risk assessments and business impact analysis within the Geospatial community. Assist in investigating security based events, and recommend appropriate control improvements.
Assist in developing new architectures that mitigate the risks posed by new technologies and business practices.


Required Skills/Qualifications:


  • Hold credentials as a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or a Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA)
Be a certified assessor under the Information Security Recognised Assessor Program (IRAP), or have an equivalent level of demonstrated experience
Have strong knowledge of the Defence Security Principles Framework
Familiarity with the Information Security Manual
Ability to work in a high security environment with sensitivity reticence and discretion.
