ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting into the General Manager - Coach Education, this role will have the accountability to align Programs and courses to Football Australia's strategic vision and objectives as outlined within the XI Principles For the Future of Australian Football.

Principally, this role is key to ensure programs are designed around the technical football framework in Australia.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Deliver C, B and A Licence coaching courses in line with AFC/FA Coaching Principles
  • Utilise digital and video technology to deliver player and coach centred information on technique and strategy
  • Assist in the delivery of FA Professional Development Workshops
  • Liaise and collaborate with FA Technical staff and provide video coaching programs to assist with the delivery of High-Performance Coaching Programs
  • Assist in streamlining elite player pathways to National Teams
  • Ensure course material is regularly reviewed, updated and maintained for relevancy

ABOUT YOU

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 Years coaching experience and success, preferably at A-Leagues level
  • Demonstrated understanding of the concepts of sports science/sports medicine and the ability to incorporate such disciplines holistically into training programs
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of all levels of football
  • Proven experience developing elite athletes, including devising and implementing programs
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and implement an effective High-Performance Program
  • Understanding of performance analysis programs and tools
  • A or Pro-Licence Diploma Coach Accreditation, or enrolled in one of these courses
  • Tertiary qualifications in coaching, education, or related field
  • Technology skills computer: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
  • Video camera and video editing skills are also desirable

Additional Requirements:


  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Working with children check (paid/ employee) or state
- based equivalent

  • Out of hours and weekend work as required
  • Travel as required
