Description

A full-time permanent role within a well-established leader in road train custom builds based in Western Suburbs of Melbourne.

For a Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Fitter, Truck Mechanic or Technician interested in a electrical and mechanical role servicing and repairing various trucks, trailers and tankers from different industries.

Must have an electrical and mechanical background with heavy vehicles
Salary guide: $36 $45 per hour
Based in Inner Western Melbourne suburbs

A normal day will see you servicing and repairing fuel tanker trailers, trucks and associated equipment.

As of January next year, they are moving to a 4 day working week, this means a 6am to 4pm working day for you.

Some of the tasks you'll be working on will include

ABC trailer servicing (A services such as wheel bearings, B service, and C Service)
12v & 24v truck/trailer, lighting and auxiliary power installs
Running airlines,
Troubleshooting/fault finding, replacing components
Running hydraulic lines

- removing and refitting veins and standard pumping gear (not very complex, any mechanically minded person can learn on the job)

You'll need

To have wired 12V trailer change out plugs as minimum
Be able to read a drawing
Servicing experience

- to be comfortablebending and twisting, standing, kneeling, crouching and crawling and working in hot and cold conditions
