About the role

You will be responsible for the successful operations of your allocated area and with full P&L accountability and a strong focus on KPIs.

You will be a team player who empowers others to succeed through coaching, mentoring and ongoing performance development.


Based in the Darwin office with regular travel to remote communities

Responsibilities

  • Coach, lead, and mentor store managers within your area
  • Work with Finance, Merchandise, I.T, Area Managers and Store Managers to maintain effective stock levels and promotional activity.
  • Maintain open & meaningful communication with community stakeholders in existing or potential communities where ALPA operates.
  • Regular operational visits to allocated Stores to review operations, systems, procedures, and policies.
  • Ensure that the Retail Division complies to all policies and procedures relating to WHS and food hygiene requirements.
  • Actively support and promote our Nutrition Policy and initiatives.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous multi site retail management experience.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement capability and excellent leadership skills with the ability to lead, engage and create high performance teams.
  • Strong track record in delivering results, developing, and implementing local strategies and continually driving outcomes.
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven capability across P&L management and controls
  • Tech savvy and proficient in the use of all MS Office packages
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills including highly proficient written and oral communication skills that can be adapted to meet the needs of people from all education levels, language abilities and ethnic origin.
