About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Volunteer & Engagement Coordinator You will provide coordinate the volunteer program by ensuring the growth of sites volunteer base, administration and strategising client volunteerism across the program.
Responsibilities include
- Build volunteer opportunities to complement service delivery to people with lived experiences of homelessness
- Evaluation of volunteer program in timely manner to identify trends and determine if program objectives have been met
- Develop collateral with corporate stakeholders that is timely and effective
- Present to corporate stakeholders the opportunities to volunteer at 61
- Coordinate additional volunteers during peak fundraising periods and planned events
What you will have
- Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training or other relevant qualifications, including those in community service or equivalent experience
- Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills _(essential)_
- Experience volunteer coordination & effective volunteer management practice
- Sound time management; determine priorities and working to deadlines.
- IT skills_ (essential)_
- Commitment to the mission and values of The Salvation Army
- A current Victoria Driver's Licence_ (preferred)_
