About:
Our client located in Port Melbourne operates two key divisions: the Construction Products Division, serving active and passive fire companies, HVAC installers, and building contractors with a comprehensive range of products and fabrication solutions; and the Refractory Anchor Division, specializing in manufacturing refractory hardware components since 1987.
Position Summary:
Our client is looking for a Driver/Store Person to be responsible for accurate stock handling, efficient customer deliveries, and maintaining warehouse safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities include efficiently picking, packing, and labelling orders using hand-held scanners. You will also be responsible for safely loading and unloading trucks while ensuring compliance with road safety laws.
Collaborating closely with the Warehouse Supervisor, you will prioritize and plan customer deliveries to guarantee timely arrivals. Additionally, you will maintain delivery vehicles, conducting scheduled maintenance to uphold their efficiency and safety standards.
Handling customer inquiries with professionalism and assisting with retail sales when required are also integral aspects of this role.

What You Need:
- Possession of a forklift license is highly desirable.
- Prior warehousing experience, preferably in construction or related fields
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and handheld scanning equipment
- Excellent communication skills and customerfocused mindset
- Proficiency in computer use for accurate data entry.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Strong organizational skills
- Commitment to upholding company's quality and safety standards.
