About this opportunity

We are looking for a leader who is experienced in major events and planning to join our Network Readiness Team.

Reporting to the Manager, Network Readiness this role involves:

Managing the Events Planning team and overseeing the planning activities from concept to delivery for all Major Events and Designated Special Events (DSE) within the Yarra Trams Network Readiness Plan (NRP).
Being responsible for the safe, efficient, accurate and costeffective planning of Major Events and DSEs in accordance with Yarra Trams systems, processes, obligations, and constraints
Undertaking ad 'hoc tasks such as reporting to meet the needs of Yarra Trams and as required by the Department of Transport and Planning
Providing technical expertise and recommendations for the continuous improvement of the planning of the network

About you

Ideally you will have:

Relevant Tertiary qualifications and/or
Significant leadership experience and Transport Industry and/or Event Planning experience
Excellent operational understanding of Victorian public transport systems
Strong ability to manage time and prioritise tasks as an individual or for the team
Strong analytical, visualization and conceptualization skills
The ability to promote ideas or solutions to network issues or constraints to management
Be able to work under pressure and achieve operational services timeframes
Strong attention to details and accuracy
