Description

About the role
We are looking to welcome a Workforce Operations Coordinator to join our People and Culture Team.

Reporting to the Workforce Operations Manager, you will play a key role in the planning, delivery and coordination of our event workforce.

This is over 700 customer service, security and operations team members who are on the front line and bring our incredible events to life.

Our buzzing precinct operates seven days a week.

As such, we structure our team to ensure we provide adequate support to our Venues and the events we host.

This role is permanent, full time and will work a standard working week (5 days) flexibly across Monday - Sunday in line with our event calendar.

A key focus of this role is the training, learning and development of this group.

This role is an exciting and unique career opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their career in Learning & Development and/or Human Resource Management.

Here are some of the game-changing things you'll have the opportunity to be involved in:
Workforce Scheduling

  • Across our five Venues (Rod Laver Arena, AAMI Park, John Cain Arena, Margaret Court Arena and CENTREPIECE) we will roster anywhere between ten and four hundred team members per event depending on what we are hosting and where. Add in the Australian Open and this increases to over two thousand for one of the most recognisable and exciting major events in the world.
Event Day Workforce Operations

  • You will support the delivery of events by attending event days, ensuring our workforce are checked in, have everything they need and set up to deliver the best service to our customers.
Training Coordination & Support

  • You will play a key role in supporting our Organisational Capability team in the development and delivery of training programs as well as the administration of our Learning Management System. Your scheduling and operational responsibilities will help you develop a deep understanding of the learning needs and opportunities of this diverse workforce, and assist in driving training and development for this work group. This will form the basis of your development in the Training and Capability space, bringing to life your studies in Learning & Development and Human Resource Management.

What you will bring to the role:
You can balance competing demands like a pro

  • You're detail orientated but also appreciate the importance of keeping your eye on the bigger picture. A fast pace, 'lots of balls in the air' kind of environment is one you thrive in it's your disciplined organisational skills that keep you on track.
You have a passion for all things ' learning'

  • You are passionate about people bringing their best self to work and strive to find new ways to grow and develop individuals and teams. You 're clever with systems and understand how to navigate 'the back end' to make the 'front end' user experience the best it can be. The ability to work a room (even virtual ones) and training delivery experience would be a bonus.
The Customer is at the heart of everything you do

  • You care deeply about the people experience. Whether it is an Event Manager planning their workforce needs, a casual team member managing their upcoming shifts or a guest coming to see their favourite artist at one of our venues you consider their experience at every interaction.
You love little bit of lots of things

  • In our fastpaced, excitingly complex and GROWING organisation no one day is the same. To thrive, you will love jumping into things that might not necessarily be 'in your job description'. You seek out these opportunities for your own growth and development.
