ABOUT THE ROLE:

The inpatient Allied Health Assistant team reports in under the Occupational Therapy department at WMH.

It is a highly valued, multidisciplinary team providing quality client care under the delegation of Allied Health teams to support positive client outcomes across inpatient medical, surgical, palliative care, GEM and hospital in the home services.

You will work with clients directly, as well as supporting administrative components of the allied health service. Supervision is provided and opportunities for professional development are available. The AHA team actively participate in and contribute to unit activities.

ABOUT YOU:


  • Allied Health Assistant Certificate IV or equivalent.
  • Current drivers licence.
  • Demonstrated experience as an Allied Health assistant within a health care setting.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, dedicated, teamoriented, adaptable and friendly.
