My client is a global financial services firm. They have over 750 staff in Australia, a low rate of turnover and offer multiple opportunities for career development. They recognise the need for work/life balance and offer flexibility to work from home.

The Role

Oversee up to 10 staff and have full accountability for ensuring that all deliverables are completed accurately.
Have overall management for team members including hiring, onboarding, training, objective setting and performance management.
Act as the first point of escalation for any issues. Be a calm and organised leader who can navigate problems while still providing a high quality of servie to clients.
Work closely with Operations Managers and the Head of Operations to identify and develop operational resource planning.
Design and implement process management and improvement initiatives.
Actively manage risk by reviewing and enhancing controls and coaching team members on best practice techniques.
Work across the organisation to find client friendly solutions which follow regulatory guidelines.
Previous experience as a team leader or a senior team member within fund accounting/unit pricing.
A proven ability to motivate others to achieve excellence.
Natural leadership qualities including being professional, diplomatic, resourceful and logical.
An ability to provide pragmatic solutions when problem solving.
Results oriented with a high level of drive and enthusiasm.
