The Company

Currently, we are recruiting for an international freight forwarding organisation on the lookout for an Operations Manager to join there busy warehouse by the Perth Airport.

If you're someone who is hands on and knows the ins and outs of warehouse management, then this is the position for you.

The Role

As the Operations Manager, you'll be directly reporting to the Branch Manager while overseeing all of the Import, Export and Warehouse teams, making sure they're reaching targets and up on performance in all aspects of the business.

Your other duties may include but are not limited to:

Supporting the Branch Manager in overseeing safety, security, environmental, and compliance adherence.
Ensuring efficient handling of all inbound and outbound cargo
Providing Hands on and professional support to all areas of the branch
Liaising, negotiating and communicating with all clients and customers on matters relating to the business
Ensuring staff has all uptodate qualifications and training as required for their roles

To be successful in this role, you will have had 5 or more years' experience within international freight as well as imports and exports in a proven leadership role.

You'll also have the ability to work rostered weekend shifts when needed.

Other skills and attributes include:

360 knowledge of warehousing activities
High level interpersonal, written/verbal communication and people management skills
Forklift license, DG Acceptance and QAP Qualifications highly desired
Proficiency with MS Office and relevant industry software
Clean Police Background and open drivers license a must
