About the Role


Sitting within our Child Protection division, the Team Leader will play an instrumental role in the effective delivery of supporting services to vulnerable children and young people in our care.


You will also be responsible for the following:

  • Coordinate and manage the daily operations of support services, including the provision of formal supervision and management of a team of Youth Support Workers
  • Leadership skills and hands on experience will be essential in guiding the care teams to deliver essential support services.
  • Establish and maintain positive rapport with stakeholders at all levels of the business
  • Oversee roster scheduling alongside our operations & scheduling team to support client requirements
  • Manage conflict, provide coaching and development opportunities to ensure continuous improvement in service delivery
  • Involvement in the recruitment, induction, and orientation of support workers
  • Provide a degree of handson support such as covering oncall shifts when required
  • Administrative duties such as developing & maintain client plans and database management
  • As you will also be supervising our team and clients across locations flexibility to travel is also required.
  • Oncall duties as required
  • Willingness to travel to clients in Ipswich, South Brisbane and North Brisbane

About you


As the Child Protection Team Leader, you will have had exposure in leading and maintaining a high-performing team within the community services or related services industry.

You are proactive and enthusiastic in nature as you will form an integral link between support workers and the leadership team.

  • Comprehensive understanding of the child protection scheme
  • Exceptional communication skills; both written and oral
  • A clear understanding and awareness of privacy and confidentiality principles
  • Proven track record in successful stakeholder management
  • Commitment to flexible peoplecentric approach in problem solving and daily routines
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or Yellow Card (or willing to obtain)
  • Blue Card (or willing to obtain)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Certificate 4 or higher in Child Protection, Social Work, Youth Work, Community Services or other relevant area
