DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Charlton College Trainee is responsible for supporting the following.

• Organise student teams, team coaches, student training, equipment, venues, officials, staff rosters, transport, first aid personnel and equipment for House sport, interschool sport (including Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country) and Summer and Winter Sport competitions.
• Organise participation of suitably qualified students in Zone, State and National competitions.
• Encourage student training for House swimming, athletics, and cross country.
• Inform staff, students, and parents well in advance of events to encourage maximum participation by all sections of the College community.
• Encourage sports coaching by school staff, including staff participation in sports coaching professional development.
• Organise lunch time and special activities, as required.
• Liaise with canteen manager regarding sporting event food requirements.
• Ensure that all students/teams are equipped with appropriate safety equipment.
• Arrange for sports reports to be included in College Newsletter, College Magazine and local media.
• Maintain Assets Register of sports equipment, trophies and shields including proper disposal of redundant equipment.
• Oversee maintenance and storage of school sport facilities and equipment including equipment orders.
• Attend Camps
• Support the organisation and running of Physical Education classes

SALARY
$21,500 - $30,000 plus 11% Superannuation

• People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.
• This position is best suited to a recent secondary school leaver.
