JOB DESCRIPTION:

This is an opportunity for you to complete your PLT placement with a busy criminal Barrister.

You will shadow the Barrister, experiencing, court, client interviews, and preparation for court.

This is a PLT placement for law students nearing the end of their studies.

You will have the opportunity to shadow the Barrister, experiencing client conferences, preparation, court attendances, and legal research.

Your role will be to shadow, watch, and learn.


Opportunities will include:

legal research.

Peter Godkin is a busy criminal barrister who works predominantly in the district and local courts.

Peter appears in courts all over Sydney including Penrith Campbelltown Burwood and the Downing Centre.

This is an exciting opportunity to shadow a busy practitioner.

Whatever Peter does, you will do.

It is fast-paced.

You will need to have a passion for criminal law, justice, and have outstanding people skills.

You also need to work well in a high-pressure environment.

The precise days are flexible, but you will need to commit to the same day each week.

You will also need to be eligible to have the days counted for your PLT.
