Role:


Reporting to the Operations Control Manager you will be responsible for the management of the personnel and systems that support the function of the company's Operations within Australia.

The role works alongside other operations functions and includes maintaining the highest level of safety and compliance of generation assets within the electricity network while ensuring all required technical and training standards are met.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage and lead the CECOER AU by providing oversight and systems to proactively monitor, control and ensure 24 x 7 availability and production for the renewable generating facilities in a safe, reliable and economic manner.
  • Monitoring renewable energy systems, analyzing data, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to address any technical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication of information to the appropriate organisations of system disturbances, emergency conditions and other events adversely affecting the company's assets under the responsibility of the CECOER AU.
  • Managing a team of skilled operators, providing leadership, guidance, and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Developing and implementing operational procedures, safety protocols, and emergency response plans.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of our renewable energy projects through innovation and best practices.
  • Maintain a working understanding of all CECOER AU procedures, relevant NER and AEMO requirements, along with company asset developments

Experience:
  • 5-10 years of experience in system operations in a utility, power plant or renewable generating facility
  • Detailed understanding of the NEM and NER would be a significant advantage
  • Proficiency in SCADA systems, data analysis tools, and a strong understanding of renewable energy operations.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, promoting a collaborative and resultsdriven environment.
  • Experience working with renewable generating systems is desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination and reporting.
  • Flexible to travel to domestic and international locations as required.
  • Bachelor's degree in technical or related discipline.
