The Opportunity

TAFE NSW is looking for qualified, experienced individuals who wish to be considered for Casual Teaching opportunities in a range of Beauty and Hairdressing or Barbering roles.

We require talent individuals who have the flexibility to cover Day and/or Evening Classes at the Nepean (Kingswood) and Granville campuses.

Your typical day will include not only teaching but also administrative tasks utilising various platforms and systems.

We are also seeking to build a suitability list, valid for 3 years, to fill future roles as they arise in the same role across the Western Sydney region.

This could include potential work at the following TAFE NSW Campuses; Bankstown, Blue Mountains, Campbelltown, Granville, Liverpool, Mt Druitt and Nepean.

About you:

You will love this position if you like to share your passion in the Beauty and/or Hairdressing industry and have a minimum of three (3) years post trade industry experience.

You are ready to educate a team of passionate students from a range of backgrounds to achieve their personal and work goals whilst developing and implementing an educational plan.

Along with your proven administration skills and demonstrated ability in verbal and written communication, you can manage multiple deadlines and priorities.

You will have the following requirements:

Completed a Certificate III or Equivalent in one or more of the following fields Beauty Services
Nail Technology
Makeup
Hairdressing
Barbering
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent
Comprehensive current knowledge of the industry and job roles and strong understanding of current trends and diversity within the Beauty or Hairdressing sector.
