Our Network Assets and Assurance (NA&A) team includes more than 2000 people from Infrastructure, Innovation, Engineering, Rolling Stock, OCMS, Strategic Asset Management and Planning and Integration.
The NA&A team manage the change to the network - ensuring that the asset outcome is safe, reliable, and sustainable, both today and into the future.
About the role
As an apprentice you will develop skills and knowledge through completing on the job training and an approved course of formal training through a registered training provider.
What you will be doing:
- Develop an effective working relationship with colleagues, Team Leader and Supervisor through regular communication and participation in maintenance activities
- Act responsibly and safely in the workplace for your own safety and that of your colleagues.
- Participate in and support Metro Trains ongoing business improvement process.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the appropriate Occupational Health and Safety Standards and Regulations and Metro Trains policies and procedures
- Ensure potential hazards are identified, escalated and prevention/control measures are observed
- Review the safe work method statements prior to work beginning
About you:
- Completion of Pre-Apprenticeship aligned with role
- Completion of Year 1
- A commitment to undertake and complete formal training at TAFE.
- The desire to make a positive contribution in the workplace.
