$106,025 - $117,363 pa plus superannuation and annual leave loading

About the Company
The Department of Communities and Justice delivers legal, court and supervision services to the people of NSW (New South Wales) by managing courts and justice services, implementing programs to reduce crime and re offending, managing custodial and community-based correctional services, protecting rights and community standards, and advising on law reform and legal matters.
Corrective Services NSW runs the state s correctional centres, supervises offenders in the community, and delivers programs to reduce reoffending, support reintegration and build safer communities.
About the role
Reporting directly to the Senior Aboriginal Cultural Advisor, you will perform project management activities to improve performance in Community Corrections for Aboriginal people and communities in NSW.
The design and development of the broad program of work will continue to be guided by ongoing consultation and engagement for co-design with Aboriginal communities and organisations to ensure Aboriginal voices are integral.
You will have the opportunity to work on a full range of projects and reforms to deliver on the Closing the Gap priorities, to support the engagement and successful completion of Aboriginal people on supervised orders.
You will be working in a dynamic team that is focused on developing a culture of high performance and who are innovative in their approach.
About you
You have project management experience and are enthusiastic about making a difference
Persuasive communication, effective interpersonal and relationship skills are required
An ability to work under tight timeframes, whilst managing competing priorities.
Essential Requirements:
- Aboriginality with connection and understanding to Community and Country
- Documented verification of Aboriginality
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent relevant experience.
- Current and valid Driver Licence; or willingness to gain a Driver License within 12 months of appointment as role will require travel within NSW.
- Willing and able to travel by plane if required.
- National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 201
- Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
