Description

We are looking for an experienced, well spoken, enthusiastic coordinator to lead our Camden/Campbelltown area, Before and After School and Vacation Care Centre.

You, the coordinator will lead staff in successfully implementing Kids United core values. The coordinator will be supported and report to the Area Coordinator.


The successful applicant will be available each morning from 6:30am to 9:00am and 2:30pm till 6:30pm, with additional non -contact administrative time.

Centre Hours of operation:

Before School Care: 6:30 -9:00am

After school care: 2:30-6:30pm

Vacation care: 6:30- 6:30pm


As an OSHC Coordinator at Kids United OSHC; Your role will include

  • Delivering a high quality, educational, safe and fun program
  • Compliance with the National Regulations
  • Understanding and implementing the National Quality Standards
  • Provide programs which align with the framework 'My Time Our Place'
  • Communication and engagement with children, families and other team members in a positive, productive and respectful manner
  • Agree to be the responsible person
  • Identify and respond to children and young people at risk
  • Support the development of children
  • Ability to support administration
  • Attend regular management meetings
  • Supervision of children
  • Light cleaning duties
  • Preparation of food
  • Attendance at monthly staff meetings and coordinator meetings

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in OSHC with leadership qualities


  • Qualification

  • Diploma preferred
- in Childrens Services or OSHC/OOSH.

  • Willing and able to work
  • Experience with 'XAP' technology or similar programs
  • High level of technology skills and abilities
  • Experience in working with children with a disability
  • Quick thinking and ability to make appropriate decisions
  • Willingness to learn
  • Valid Working with Children Check for paid employment
  • Recent Police check (less than 6 months old) or willingness to obtain prior to starting the role
  • First Aid certificate (including CPR, anaphylaxis & asthma management and emergency first aid response in an education and care setting) or willingness to obtain prior to start
  • Ability to work effectively as a team
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with the children, parents and staff

Salary:
$50, $106,312.89 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
