About us:


Gloucester Soldiers Memorial Hospital (GSMH) is part of the Lower Mid North Coast Sector, within Hunter New England Local Health District.

Gloucester Soldiers' Memorial Hospital is an Acute Care Facility serving the people of the Gloucester area.


The facility has 14 beds:

  • Fourteen (14) x Acute (Roma Ward):
  • Three (3) x ED Beds
  • Twelve (12) x Day Stay Unit Chairs
Roma Ward is an Acute/Medical Ward with Medical and Surgical Patients. There is a busy Emergency Room, Operating Theatre and Community Health Centre.

The hospital is staffed by Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, AINs, General Practitioners and Visiting Medical Officers. There are Allied Health professionals on site.


About the job:


  • In this role you will work as a multiskilled member of the Operating Theatre Team to provide, nonclinical ancillary support to the Theatre Staff to complement the delivery of safe, effective and quality patient care.
  • The position is also required to deliver services to the Theatre Campus and the General Hospital as directed by Facility Management.
  • Staff will be supported by Online Education, Nursing and Management Team.

Requirements:


  • You are a selfmotivated individual with exceptional communication skills who is selfmotivated and able to work well with a team, under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively as well as prioritise tasks.
  • Demonstrated previous experience as an Operations Assistant or willingness to learn.
