australia melbourne contract au$80 - au$100 per hourThe role of the National Workplace Health and Safety Manager involves providing support and assistance in the development and execution of the company's occupational health and safety initiatives.

This encompasses the early intervention injury management program and ensuring the organization's compliance with regulations such as the National Work Health and Safety Acts, Regulations, workers compensation legislation, and audit compliance requirements.


Within this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in generating executive reports on health and safety performance and health scorecard outcomes.
  • Collaborating on the implementation of the company's Wellbeing and Safety strategy.
  • Coordinating the national compliance of the work health and safety management system program.
  • Managing the safety program for clients and ensuring compliance with audits.
  • Orchestrating the coordination of the workers compensation program and claims portfolio.
  • Overseeing the facilitation of returntowork efforts.

To be considered for this role, your qualifications, skills, and experience could encompass:


  • Thorough understanding of various aspects of Risk Management, OH&S, Workcover, Return to Work, Insurance Claims, and Legislative Compliance.
  • A Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Psychology, Rehabilitation, or equivalent experience in the mental health and safety sector.
  • Capability to strategically administer and coordinate the National Workers Compensation program to minimize costs and achieve early Return to Work outcomes.
  • Specific expertise and proactive management ability in dealing with psychological injuries and claims would be highly valued.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience is preferred.
