Your Opportunity

This will include designing and conducting innovative and effective training, suitable for a range of blended learning environments, including virtual delivery.

Your expertise in this area will model and support the development of contemporary digital and technological skills, and will be underpinned by sound theory around adult education and learning.

This is a Temporary, Full-Time opportunity, to 30 May 2025 with possible extension.

The position will be based primarily at Ashmore however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilise project management expertise, foster innovation and ensure effective risk management, particularly in the management of significant and specific projects relating to educational policies, procedures, work instructions and associated documentation.
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on the progress and outcomes of these specific projects and initiatives as they are implemented to key stakeholders.
  • Undertake research and analysis into education, training, assessment and associated issues impacting educationally focused projects and initiatives.
  • Prepare correspondence, submissions and reports in response to regional and departmental requests in a timely, professional and accurate manner.
  • Undertake high level liaison with internal and external stakeholders including industry, the community as well as state government representatives.
  • As a result of project outcomes, undertake analysis of complex issues and documents to provide advice and support to the Executive Director Education and Training on relevant risks and implement appropriate strategies to enable effective performance of educational practices at TAFE Queensland Gold Coast
  • Identify electronic solutions and initiatives that streamline work processes and create efficiencies.
  • Maintain an understanding of the commercial aspects of TAFE including financial and business performance and any impact from external factors.
  • Actively engage with industry, business and the community
  • Model and actively promote an ethical and safe work environment that supports a culture of zero harm and best practice regarding health, safety, wellness and sustainability
How you will be assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

  • Demonstrated contemporary VET Educator skills and ability to provide educational leadership of quality VET practices.
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide expert advice and support on current and emerging issues within the Vocational Education and Training sector
  • Demonstrated skills in the development, implementation and evaluation of strategic initiatives projects and programs.
  • Demonstrated written skills applicable to the development and implementation of educational policy and procedures, high quality and timely reports, submissions and briefings of a complex, sensitive and substantial nature.
  • High level communication, consultation and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of key stakeholders on significant issues in order to achieve program and project objectives.
  • Displays flexibility and responsiveness and has the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.
Qualifications/Requirements
Highly Desirable Requirements

  • Diploma of Training Design and Development
  • Diploma of Vocational Education and Training
  • Bachelor Degree in Teaching or related disciplines
