PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:


Working as part of the Systems Group Delivery team, you will be responsible for overall project scheduling and tracking, working closely with the project managers to ensure continual work across all projects, and the effective use of resources to meet agreed milestones.

You will inform demand and resource management to support the objectives of the Systems Group Delivery team and wider Systems Group Solutions Delivery group.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Formulate and develop advanced scheduling that gives continual workflow for the overall Systems Group Delivery Portfolio in order to ensure all components of the project are completed within the expected delivery timeframes.
  • Maintain and monitor master (and shortterm) schedules for each project (in conjunction with Project Managers & the Enterprise PMO.
  • Identify and record the progress of work to baseline milestones in order to identify corrective actions.
  • Coordinate interproject dependencies including equipment and resource allocation.
  • Work collaboratively with the Systems Group Delivery team to inform the demand and resource management needs of the Systems Group Solutions Delivery group.
  • Build the capability of project managers in scheduling practices and compliance, this may require coaching and onthejob training.
  • Build and maintain relationships to support project managers in ensuring compliance and alignment with Enterprise PMO.
  • Prepare standardised project status reports to track and validate project delivery activities.
  • Consult with the appropriate project team members to ensure proper planning is completed prior to the commencement of work.
  • Identify potential gaps or obstacles that may compromise the success of projects in order to troubleshoot and devise appropriate strategies to overcome barriers.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a business, commerce, or accounting
  • related discipline or significant experience relevant to financial management in a large organisation.
  • Track record of successfully providing master scheduling PMO services for a range of Systems Group and transformation programs.
  • Welldeveloped analytical and reporting skills.
  • Sound knowledge of project management disciplines and methodology.
