Positive Behaviour Support Team Leader

Employment Term - Full Time, Ongoing

In your new role you will influence and champion a culture of excellence to empower your team of Behaviour Support Practitioners to make positive changes for people and communities.

You will use your highly developed clinical skills to support people under a social model of disability, breaking barriers to reveal their abilities.


You will lead a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners who are adaptable, solution orientated, outcome driven and invested in making a difference in people's lives and they are waiting to meet you.


As the Team Leader you will:

  • Use your expertise and experience to elevate the skills of your team
  • Help steer organisation changes that will help us evolve and deliver even greater impacts for our NDIS participants
  • Empower your team to deliver their best work under a social model of therapy
  • Grow your skills supporting people with different personalities and skills
  • Share your knowledge with less experienced team members to support their development
  • Provide clinical leadership and share your knowledge to support therapists to deliver high quality support under a social model of disability

Your Everyday
If you were here last week these are some of the things you would have:

  • Used your qualification as a Positive Behaviour Support practitioner to deliver therapy within your discipline, bringing your client's hopes and dreams to life using social model of therapy
  • Supported a therapist to implement their Grow Plan to achieve their learning goals
  • Collaborated with key stakeholders within the organisation to support your team to achieve their KPIs
  • Approved team member leave, led a team meeting, and given a 'shout out' to a team member who did a great job
  • Undertaken professional development or learning to develop as a leader or clinician
  • Attended a weekly huddle with the Team Leaders in your region to unpack opportunities for improving service delivery in your region
  • Worked together with your Area Lead and Regional Lead to meet demand for our services
  • Shared a joke and a laugh with colleagues
