Your responsibilities:


  • As the leader of QFCC's monitoring and evaluation functions, you will develop and implement strategies to convert external data and information into actionable insights that enables intelligent decisionmaking and strengthens public understanding of the wellbeing and safety of Queensland children and their families.
  • You will lead evaluation and analysis projects to produce both routine and tailored analysis on the child protection and youth justice systems. You will enable the Commission to identify system risks, opportunities, and achievements and will be able to communicate these to the government, the sector, and the public.
  • You will be capable of looking at data and conceptualizing visual presentations that translate the key message for public consumption and be able to distil large reports into clear talking points and bring a focus to "what matters" for children and their families.

You will lead a team in the collection, collation, and analysis of evidence on the system performance and use your analytical and narrative-making skills to provide insights, advice and information.


  • You will clearly communicate performance outcomes by using visual, verbal and written storytelling techniques, leading the preparation of executive correspondence and briefing notes, papers, visual content, social and digital media and printed reports. By doing so, make strategic policy recommendations and decisions to improve the safety and wellbeing of children based on your teams analysis of external information.
