About the Opportunity


We are seeking an enthusiastic HR Business Partner with demonstrated experience across Industrial and Employee Relations to develop effective and strong working relationships that can influence people managers in the delivery of the business and HR plan and strategies.

Key responsibilities will involve supporting performance and conduct matters, working with your national client portfolio to provide support and advice in case management, strategic and EA bargaining work and advocacy at the Fair Work Commission.


This hybrid role requires a 'hands on' HR professional with a well-rounded toolkit that includes a background from diverse working environments.

With a contemporary approach to HR, you thrive in a fast-paced and highly complex business. You must be able to demonstrate your analytical approach to influence with a focus on achieving commercial outcomes. Strong judgement, resilience and attention to detail will be essential. Experience working with healthcare and technical professionals would be an advantage.


You will:

  • Provide expert advice on contemporary industrial relations, high level dispute resolution, strategic employment frameworks and management of enterprise agreements to achieve business objectives.
  • Manage the interpretation and provide advice on awards, enterprise agreements, legislation, policies and industrial relations matters to all levels of management and employees.
  • Represent Qscan Group and assist in the negotiation, development and implementation of enterprise agreements for all employee groups, including relevant unions/employee representatives.
  • Appear as an industrial advocate in Fair Work Commission, other tribunals and at high level negotiations with a range of stakeholders to support resolution of issues.
  • Build and actively manage strong and trusting relationships with key stakeholders across the business and within client groups, with national travel to clinics from timetotime
  • Provide escalated advice regarding policies, employment legislation, industrial instruments and contract interpretation, performance issues and dispute resolution
  • Working collaboratively with the broader P&C team to ensure consistency of all performance management, disciplinary and grievances processes across the organisation
  • Guide and inform leaders in the annual remuneration review process ensuring internal parity, performance metrics and industrial requirements are considered
  • Create and develop effective working relationships with relevant external parties e.g., union representatives and Legal support
  • Support and coach leaders in ER processes, and partner to investigate escalated matters recommending corrective actions, problem resolution or work improvements
  • Contribute to HR reporting such as, monthly board reports, annual WGEA report, and other legislative reporting when required
  • Assist with adhoc HR projects as required by the HR Operations Manager and Group Executive, P&C
About You


You hold tertiary qualifications in Human Resources (or a related discipline) and have 4-5 years' experience working in HR roles and significant experience across a range of industrial bodies in the areas of employment legislation, industrial frameworks and awards.


You are knowledgeable about IR and ER and have a thorough working knowledge of federal and state employment legislation, negotiating enterprise agreements and able to guide managers with IR and ER strategy and employment law matters.
