  • Up to three (3) ongoing roles in the Business Technology Services Division
  • Salary $114,830 plus 10.5% superannuation
  • VPS Grade
  • Based in Melbourne CBD or Ballarat, with flexibility to work from home

The opportunity

The Automation Tester is responsible for providing and supporting high quality testing automation services by developing automation frameworks, progression and regression automation test suites and reporting on automation.


Reporting to the Automation Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing, developing and supporting automation services for SRO modernisation deliveries and ongoing business activities
  • Providing leadership on the determination of standards of when to automate, ensuring best practice automation capability
  • Providing and leading services in cross functional teams in areas of test automation and CI/CD
  • Exploring contemporary technologies and managing and running Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to sustainably transform and uplift automation capability.
Who we are looking for


To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the testing of computer systems and testing methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience in the creation of automation frameworks and automation tools
  • Strong leadership, collaborative and interpersonal skills to manage, lead, engage and work with test team members and stakeholders across the Division
  • A sound understanding of, and experience in, agile delivery methodologies and software development life cycles
  • Experience in Salesforce and customer relationship management systems is highly desirable.
