Sydney (hybrid remote working)

$100-130k base plus 15% bonus and super

Data Analyst (SQL / Tableau / GCP / Azure) role:

Retail Analytics spans the whole business: they support merchandise and supply teams, understand customer behaviour and support their market-share strategies.


This remit supports the growth of the business by providing meaningful insights to support decisions and outcomes for customers and stakeholders across both the retail and online environments.

The

Data Analyst (SQL / Tableau / GCP / Azure) is responsible for supporting their merchandising and strategy teams which means supporting end-to-end analytics projects and delivering to stakeholders with a key focus on strong insights and actions for business use.

Day to day responsibilities for the

Data Analyst (SQL / Tableau / GCP / Azure) include:

  • Providing ongoing and ad hoc reporting, analysis and insights in a timely manner
  • Focus on the insights from ongoing and ad hoc analysis, defining the narrative and identifying actions and opportunities
  • Establish strong relationships with business stakeholders to become their trusted advisor and partner
  • Work within team norms, standards and procedures to provide consistency across the business
  • Support and drive the development of great team dynamics
  • Learn and be proactive with ideas and recommendations and help drive the business outcomes
  • Document your pathways: champion the role of solid data governance, create data lineage assets and create meaningful documentation for your stakeholders and peers
  • Thrive and grow within their team norms, standards and procedures to provide consistency across the business and with peers
  • Keep learning: stay up up to date with knowledge of current trends up to date to ensure our solutions remain in line with industry best practice
Essential skills for the

Data Analyst (SQL / Tableau / GCP / Azure) role include:

  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent in a relevant field (Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Analytics)
  • Have a minimum of 2 years hands on analytics experience
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience in technical operations working with Cloud technologies (GCP, Azure, DBT)
  • Data visualisation and storytelling experience (Tableau, Data Studio)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Hold a strong focus on delivery and the right attitude and approach towards any challenges
