Description:


The educator role is to support the implementation of an approved Learning framework and support the children's wellbeing and learning development.

The role supports the delivery of a high quality program that is responsive and inclusive to the needs of children, families, colleagues and the community.


Responsibilities Include:

Adhere to CORE administrative policies, systems and procedures. Adhere to CORE systems, policies and procedures that govern the daily operation of the service.
Maintain a high standard of commitment to professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

Compliance at all times with the National Quality Framework, all relevant legislation both state and federal which includes the National Quality Law, Regulations and Standards.

Assist in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs for individual children. Maintaining up to date records of learning and development.
Engagement in critical reflection and goal setting for quality improvement
Actively supervising children and implementing a developmentally appropriate and positive approach to behaviour guidance.
Maintain a safe healthy and hygienic environment
Demonstrate the ability to understand, communicate and effectively interact with people across all cultures. Valuing an ongoing commitment to developing cultural competence
workplace health and safety requirements including taking all reasonable steps for your own health and safety while at work.

Follow the Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics 2016 and be committed to your own professional ethics and Report any unprofessional behaviour that does not align with these ethics.

Mandatory reporters are required to report any concerns about abuse to children or young people immediately.
Insure communication with all families children and colleagues is respectful and considered.


Skills and Experiences:


Selection Criteria:

Formal relevant qualifications and relevant on the job experience
A sound understanding and knowledge of early childhood development and education.
A sound knowledge of the early years learning framework, National quality Standards.
Demonstrated ability to plan, implement evaluate and reflect on a quality early childhood program.
High level of interpersonal and communication skills. Capacity to interact with children, families, colleagues and the wider community.
Excellent organisational skills with a demonstrated competency in managing workload across a range of tasks and projects.
Proficiency in using coputers and computer programs including word excel data bases and the internet.
Ability to work in both a team environment and work independently.
Possess a valid NSW Working with Children Check and Australian Federal Police Check.
Vaccinated against Covid 19.
